Enjoy a free, fascinating, hands-on day exploring the high-tech world of Computer Numerical Control (CNC). You will get to see how these amazing machines work and the wide range of things they can produce - from common household items to the most intricate elements made for today’s high-tech industries. Then you’ll learn basic G&M code programming as you design and machine your own initials on a block of aluminum with a CNC milling machine. Finally, if there is time, you will be able to engrave an image of your choice on the back side of your initials block using CAD/CAM to generate the G&M codes. Lunch will be provided.
