The Kearney Chamber Tourism Committee is reshaping our monthly meetings to ensure we’re ready to welcome the world to our community. Beginning this month, we are offering hybrid meetings—you can join us in person or virtually via Microsoft Teams. These meetings will feature timely updates from local and regional leaders who are shaping tourism, marketing, and economic development plans for our area, including:

| 7/4/2026 | Join us for the annual Smithville Fireworks Show, proudly sponsored by the City of Smithville and Clay County, with extra activities this year as we help celebrate America’s 250th birthday!  This FREE event kicks off at Sailboat Cove (4619 Chapel Rd | Smithville) with a DJ from 12:00–4:00PM, featuring local community acts, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and more. More details coming soon! Live band: 6:00–9:00 PM Fireworks Show:Fireworks will be launched from Smith’s Fork Park (1601 DD HWY | Smithville) from the north side of the spillway at dusk, approximately 9:15/9:30PM.
