Building Business Through Advocacy and Insight

Local business doesn’t operate in a vacuum — it’s shaped by the policies, regulations, and decisions made at every level of government. Join us for the first event in the 2026 GMBA Economic Forum Series, where business leaders, elected officials, and policy experts come together to discuss the legislative landscape shaping Western Pinal County and the State of Arizona.

This forum will offer valuable perspective on how current and upcoming legislation affects local businesses, housing, workforce growth, and regional development. Participants will share insights on collaboration between city, county, and state leadership to strengthen economic vitality and ensure that the voice of local business is heard.

Invited Participants Include:
City of Maricopa elected leadership
Pinal County Supervisor Rich Vitiello
State Representatives Teresa Martinez and Chris Lopez
Representatives from the offices of State Senator Eli Crane, U.S. Senator Mark Kelly, U.S. Representative Ruben Gallego, and Governor Katie Hobbs
Mike Hutchins, Legislative & Policy Liaison for the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and Arizona Chamber Executives

Whether you’re a business owner, community advocate, or policy professional, this event offers direct access to the people shaping Arizona’s future. Gain the clarity and connections you need to stay informed, stay engaged, and stay ahead.

Key Takeaways:
  • Understand how state and local legislation impacts small business and regional development
  • Hear updates directly from policymakers and their representatives
  • Learn how to engage with elected officials on issues that matter to your industry
  • Network with civic, business, and community leaders driving economic progress
  • Presented by the Greater Maricopa Business Alliance Government Affairs Committee
  • Building Business. Building Impact. Building Communities.

Seating is limited and registration is required to secure your seat.
All questions must be submitted in advance at the time of registration.

Workplace safety isn’t just a checklist — it’s a cornerstone of a successful business. Join us for an interactive workshop that explores why safety should matter to every business owner, what really happens when workers’ compensation claims arise, and how CPR training can make the difference between a close call and a tragedy.

Our expert facilitators bring decades of experience and real-world perspective:
  • Bill Robertson, retired Fire Chief, will lead a powerful discussion and demonstration on CPR and emergency readiness that every workplace should have.
  • Chris Cahall, American Family Insurance specialist in workers’ compensation insurance and claims, will break down what employers need to know before — and after — an incident occurs.
  • Kelly Anderson, with over 20 years in workplace safety and health across multiple industries, will share practical strategies to build a proactive safety culture that protects both employees and bottom lines.
Whether you manage a small team or a growing company, this session will give you the tools and confidence to make safety a built-in part of doing business — not an afterthought.
