Join us for a STAGE READING of The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood—a fun, lively retelling with a twist!
The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood
This coproduction between Attic Theatrics and The Rees Theatre will showcase the local talent of Marshall County. Together we will celebrate the artistic success of the two 2024 productions of “Robin Hood” that were held at The Wild Rose Moon. Both casts are invited back to merge in a mega celebration of goofy antics, silly voices, and general mayhem.
Interested in joining the cast? New to performance? This is a great way to get introduced to how a show is made/built. Technical and designer minds are welcome to join in on the fun too. Please reach out to Artistic Director, Zachary Gipson at
AtticTheatrics@Gmail.com.
Directed and Designed by Zachary Gipson
Stage Management by Montana Golden
With generous artistic support from The Wild Rose Moon and Derek Jensen

The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a fun and lively in-person event! Dive into the legendary story with a twist you won't see coming. Perfect for fans of adventure, laughter, and a bit of mischief. Don't miss out on this unique take on a classic tale—come experience Robin Hood like never before!
It sure is hard to be humble when you're a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. But our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress (oddly obsessed with skin conditions); an ever-scheming sheriff who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bulls-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe; and a good-natured "Town's Guy" who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not. Combine them with an expandable band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you've got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won't soon forget!
First Show Date January 9th @7:30PM
Second Show Date January 16th @7:30PM

North by Northwest
A Hitchcock masterpiece of suspense, style, and nonstop adventure
Starring: Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason
Directed by: Alfred Hitchcock
The Story
What happens when an ordinary man is mistaken for a spy who doesn’t exist?
Cary Grant stars as Roger Thornhill, a sharp-witted advertising executive whose life is turned upside down when he’s swept into a dangerous game of international espionage. Framed, chased, and utterly bewildered, Thornhill races across America to clear his name — pursued by ruthless enemies, shadowy government agents, and a mysterious woman who may not be what she seems.
From the glamour of New York City to the wide-open Midwest and the iconic heights of Mount Rushmore, the film hurtles forward with twists, romance, and edge-of-your-seat tension.
Why You Don’t Want to Miss This on the Big Screen
• One of Alfred Hitchcock’s most entertaining and influential films
• Legendary scenes — including the famous crop-duster chase
• Cary Grant at his most charming, funny, and debonair
• A perfect blend of thriller, romance, mystery, and humor
• Stylish cinematography, unforgettable score, and nonstop momentum
A True Classic
North by Northwest isn’t just a movie — it’s a masterclass in suspense and storytelling. Smart, thrilling, and endlessly rewatchable, this film defined the modern action-thriller and remains just as exciting today as it was in 1959.
Don’t miss your chance to experience this iconic classic the way it was meant to be seen — on the big screen!
Tickets are $8
