You're invited to a FREE pop-up show featuring quilts by Ventura Modern Quilt Guild on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM, inside the Santa Paula Art Museum's Cole Creativity Center (123 N 10th St., Santa Paula). Enjoy light refreshments as you mingle with VMQG artists and explore a dynamic collection of modern quilts. Admission is free, and all are welcome!
Ventura Modern Quilt Guild (VMQG) is a place for modern quilters to connect and create. Founded in January 2012, VMQG is a branch of The Modern Quilt Guild. The guild maintains its 501(c)3 status by making quilts and other textile items and donating them to local charities supporting children and others in need. In addition, VMQG offers educational opportunities for members and the general public interested in modern quilt making.

Join us for Free Family Day inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guest artists from Ventura Modern Quilt Guild will guide visitors of all ages to sit down at a real sewing machine and stitch fabric! Families can also explore a variety of creative activities, including beading, stamping, and hand sewing (with child-safe plastic sewing needles available). Plus, don’t miss a special pop-up exhibit of gorgeous quilts by VMQG members. Admission is free, all are welcome, and all materials are provided.
Make it a day full of discovery: Santa Paula’s three museums offer free admission and activities on the first Sunday of every month.
