Proper traffic control is essential for maintaining safety in work zones. This 4-hour training course provides hands-on instruction and foundational knowledge in accordance with the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD). Participants will learn industry standards, best practices, and key techniques to ensure safe and effective flagging operations.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand Flagging Standards and Guidelines: Learn the responsibilities and importance of professional flaggers.
  • Master Key Traffic Control Components: Gain insights into temporary traffic control (TTC) zones and proper flagger station locations.
  • Utilize Flagging Equipment and Signals Effectively: Develop proficiency in handling flagging tools and executing correct signals.
  • Implement Safe Practices in Work Zones: Apply best practices for installation, removal of signs, and managing typical flagging situations.
