Pride & Prejudice

Marriage is an inevitable fact of life for the five Bennet sisters -- Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and
Lydia. With the family estate entailed away to their closest male cousin, their only hope to advance in life is to find a rich and single man -- and one has just arrived in the form of the very handsome and very well-off Charles Bingley. The kindhearted and beautiful Jane seems poised to make a match, but must contend with her overly zealous mother, his snobbish sister, and a slippery social ladder. And when Bingley's taciturn friend Fitzwilliam Darcy shows an interest in the opinionated and spirited Elizabeth, the situation becomes more complicated than either of them expect.

Volunteer Appreciation Week at Mueller

Mueller currently has 116 active, AMAZING volunteers! The volunteer team does it all from selling passes at the Visitor Center, keeping the campgrounds clean, improving trails, running booths at events, and providing numerous educational and fun programs for our visitors. Needless to say, the park would not be the same without them. Show your appreciation by adding a thank you note to our volunteer banner that will be hanging up inside the Visitor Center all week.

Q is for Questioning

About the Program

Q is for Questioning is a series of three interactive workshops (virtual and in-person) led by licensed clinicians and community members. These workshops provide adults in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth education on LGBTQ+ identity and mental health. Participants receive tools and resources to better support and affirm the LGBTQ+ youth in their lives.

If you are an adult in the life of an LGBTQ+ young person, please know that you can make a world of difference. Join us at an upcoming workshop, in-person or virtually, listed below. To learn more or bring Q is for Questioning to your region, contact us at q.info@envision-you.org.

Why Q is for Questioning?

Due to stigma, discrimination, bullying, and other factors, LGBTQ+ youth are more likely to experience mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. However, you can make all the difference. Research shows that the prevalence of suicide for LGBTQ+ youth who have at least one affirming adult in their life is reduced by 40%. Well-supported youth are also more likely to thrive in school, work, and their relationships.

By working towards being an affirming adult, you can provide a safe space for young LGBTQ+ people to talk about their thoughts and feelings which can help the young person develop a positive self-image. You can also help LGBTQ+ youth navigate the challenges of coming out and living authentically. Supporting you in navigating the ins and outs of how to do this is where we come in.
