Victorian Fashions on Parade presented by Nancy Herndon-Ulrich
This fashion show will feature garments from the 1850s thru 1890, including a copy of Mary Todd Lincoln's 2nd inaugural gown that is on display as part of the First Ladies' collection at the Smithsonian.

Seats are on a first-come, first-serve basis.  
Should your payment arrive after reservations are full, you will be contacted as to whether you would like to be added to the waiting list (should any cancelations come) or withdraw.

13th Annual Women's Leadership Luncheon.  Our keynote speaker is Michelle Russo Steeg, MA,LPC, NCC, owner of MCS Counseling. The theme is Learning Today-Transforming Tomorrow, which will focus on mental health and wellness.  We aim to help attendees understand that mental health is a primary health concern that has far-reaching influence on society as a whole.  We know that by building relationships and fostering a community approach to mental and behavioral health, we can change lives.

Historian and Museum Curator Nick Sacco will discuss the creation of a new exhibit about the history of slavery in St. Louis that is now on display at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site. He will explain the purpose of creating this exhibit and highlight some of the stories about this often-neglected history. Schools can receive bus transportation funds for students to participate in free interactive tours of the exhibit and Nick will provide information on this program.

Elizabeth Keckley, formerly enslaved, sewed dresses for wealthy women in St. Louis who loaned her money to purchase her freedom. Within a few years Keckley was employed by President Lincoln's wife as her seamstress but also became her close confidante. Living history performer Kathryn Harris uses Keckley's autobiography to present a first-person interpretation. 

This program is offered as part of Women’s History Month and in conjunction with the park's new exhibit, "Slavery in St. Louis," on display through September 4, 2023.

a person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity
Ambassadors are official representatives of the Affton-Lemay Chamber that serve as volunteers on the “front-line” of our meetings & events. Help educate prospective members & guests, welcome new members, and facilitate networking. Committee attends Affton-Lemay Chamber events (meetings, ribbon cuttings, social hours, etc.) and facilitates Key to Chamber Success Seminar.

Mission Statement: The Affton-Lemay Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors promote member commitment through raising awareness of Chamber activities and benefits, promoting member engagement in various activities, and serving as a connection between the chamber and its members.
