The Pinal County Workforce Development Board is hosting a webinar on April 27th at 10a to introduce the Arizona Career Readiness Credential (ACRC) to Pinal County employers. Pinal County Supervisor Stephen Miller has agreed to welcome attendees.
The ACRC was created in response to employers' concerns regarding job seekers' work ready skills. The credential validates the job seeker skills in three "foundational" academic areas (Math, Reading, Data) and four "personal/interpersonal" skill areas (Communication, Professionalism, Teamwork/Collaboration and Critical Problem Solving).

United Way of Pinal County 2023 Golf Tournament - 10th AnnualSaturday, April 29, 2023

The tournament will raise money for our Reading by 3rd Grade Initiative, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. This great program mails a new book monthly to the homes of children ages 0-5 to promote family bonding, develop critical literacy skills and to gain an overall love of books. 2021 test scores show only 25% of Pinal County 3rd graders are reading proficiently - among the lowest in the nation.
