Handel “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” from Solomon
Vivaldi Cello Concerto in a minor, RV 419
Geminiani Concerto Grosso in d minor, “‘La Folia’ after Corelli”
Boccherini Minuet
Handel Water Music Suite No. 1 in F Major, HWV 348

Let the currents of Baroque elegance carry you into spring. The concert begins with Handel’s jubilant “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba,” a festive and regal opener that sets the tone for the morning. Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto in a minor, RV 419, showcases the expressive voice of the instrument and is filled with rhythmic drive and lyrical beauty. Geminiani’s Concerto Grosso “La Folia,” based on a hauntingly ancient theme reimagined by Corelli, builds in intensity with virtuosic flair. Boccherini’s graceful Minuet provides a touch of charm and poise before we return to Handel for the exuberant Water Music Suite No. 1, filled with fanfares, flowing lines, and the unmistakable joy of music written to accompany royal festivities on the Thames.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, a great time to focus on protecting your skin and prioritizing your health.

Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, but it is also one of the most preventable and treatable when detected early. That’s why we encourage all of our patients to schedule a yearly skin exam. These exams allow us to identify any changes or concerns early, when treatment is most effective.

In addition to annual check-ups, daily sun protection plays a key role in reducing your risk. We recommend:

  • Using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day
  • Reapplying sunscreen every two hours when outdoors
  • Wearing protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses
  • Seeking shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Even on cloudy days or during routine activities, UV exposure can add up over time.

If you haven’t had your annual skin exam, we invite you to schedule an appointment with our office. Taking a few simple steps now can make a lasting difference in your skin health.

To book your visit, please call us at 505-855-5503.

Join us for an engaging evening with urban designer, editor, and author Julie Campoli, who will explore how the design of neighborhoods shapes how they are experienced—and why some places thrive while others fall short.

Through compelling visual examples from across the country, Campoli will reveal why places with similar levels of development can feel either vibrant and welcoming or disconnected and underwhelming. She will highlight the essential elements that make compact neighborhoods succeed, including walkability, access to daily needs, and human-scaled design.

This talk will offer fresh insight into how Albuquerque can grow more intentionally— supporting attainable housing, responding to its environment, and creating stronger connections between people, places, and everyday life.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear practical ideas for shaping neighborhoods that are livable, resilient, and distinctly Albuquerque.
