The Annual Great Backyard Bird Count takes place next weekend, from February 13th through the 16th. You can join other community members and count at Teddy Fenton Park (300 Railroad Avenue) or the Community Gardens (300 Railroad Avenue) from 7:00AM to 12:00PM any of those days. The Great Backyard Bird Count is sponsored nationally by Cornell School of Ornithology, the Audibon Society, and Bird Canada. Local sponsors include the Parks and Recreation Department, Mojave Masters Garden Club, Boulder City Grown Garden Co Op, Ace Hardware (541 Nevada Way) and the Coffee Cup Restaurant (512 Nevada Way).
