Did you know that the City of Boulder City has a Community Garden? Local gardeners rent plots from the city and maintain their own gardens there. It’s a great alternative for those with limited gardening space and the gardeners with plots there are very kind and helpful.
This Saturday, March 21 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM, the Community Garden will be hosting their Spring Garden Festival and Plant Sale. This is a great event for families, as there will be fun things for kids, as well as informational demonstrations for adult gardeners. There will be plants for sale so be sure to stop by and see what’s available. Several Master Gardeners from Boulder City Grown will be on hand to answer questions and give advice. Be sure to check out the Worm Farm, the Pollinator Garden, the Little Free Library, and other features of the Community Gardens. They are located adjacent to the Old Water Treatment Plant, at 300 Railroad Avenue.
