The Annual Shipshewana Fall Crafters Fair celebrates the rich crafting traditions and old-fashioned culture of the Shipshewana countryside since 1999. Located within the expansive MEC, the fair features a diverse array of artisans, vintage sellers, and creators offering handmade items and personalized gifts. Attendees can explore booths showcasing hand-woven baskets, paintings, 100% beeswax candles, wooden fall décor, and numerous other crafts. The event also includes live music performances, with vendors surrounding talented musicians and entertainers, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Food trucks positioned around the venue provide a variety of culinary delights, enhancing the overall experience. The fair is designed to be family-friendly, offering activities suitable for all ages. Saturday is designated as Kids Day, featuring train rides, face painting, a petting zoo with animals like guinea pigs, parakeets, dwarf hamsters, and finches, among other engaging activities. Additionally, craft demonstrations and entertainment are scheduled throughout the weekend, allowing visitors to witness the skills and techniques of various artisans firsthand. For those interested in participating as vendors, the MEC provides a vendor application form, with the requirement that applications be accompanied by payment to secure a booth. Prospective vendors can contact Arlen at (260) 768-3300 or email info@michianaevents.com for more information. The Fall Crafters Fair has established itself as a significant event in the region, attracting visitors who appreciate handcrafted items and the opportunity to engage with local artisans. It offers a unique experience that combines shopping, entertainment, and cultural enrichment, making it a must-visit event for both locals and tourists.
