The goal of the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber's Military Affairs Council (MAC) is to advance the pro-business climate in the area through military affairs initiatives and to maintain and enhance the business community's relationship with Fort Leavenworth.

The Military Affairs Council works to grow and sustain not only Fort Leavenworth but also other Department of Defense operations in the area.  The MAC functions as a liaison between the local military and business communities, implementing programs that provide greater interaction between Chamber members and DOD/military personnel.  The MAC hosts various events throughout the year that help to further our community relationships and honor military service.

MAC Meetings are held monthly on the first Tuesday, noon to 1PM at the Fairfield Inn, Leavenworth.

For 52 years, Snow Ball has been a legacy of love for Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas. This year, we are honored to celebrate that legacy through the 52nd Annual Snow Ball gala on January 17, 2026 at the Overland Park Convention Center.

Snow Ball is more than a great party. It’s a celebration of many months of hard work by teams of volunteers. Unique in the fact that there is NO fundraising at the event, Snow Ball truly sets itself apart as one of the biggest and best parties of the year.

Your participation – either through a patron gift or by purchasing tables or tickets – enables Catholic Charities to change lives, spark hope and build brighter tomorrows for more than 74,000 served each year throughout our communities. Although Snow Ball raises significant funds, even if we raised more, there would still be needs in our community to be met.

Join us for this epic celebration of gratitude, love and life-changing hope!
