This civic engagement event is a collaboration between Be Awesome, The Greater Maricopa Business Alliance Governemnt Affaris COmmittee, and The Greater Maricopa Foundation.
The Candidate Crawl will feature a walk-around format, allowing young and first time voters to engage in one-on-one conversations with candidates at designated stations. In addition, the event is expected to include voter registration opportunities and participation from local student organizations helping to foster meaningful civic engagement among Maricopa’s emerging voters.
Our goal is to create a space that is:
• Accessible and informative for young and first time voters
• Balanced and respectful for all candidates
• Focused on strengthening civic participation in our community
