Due to weather forecast for the afternoon and evening on Monday, December 1, 2025, the Christmas parade is rescheduled for Monday, December 8, 2025 Christmas parade, tree lighting, Santa Claus with candy and float and decorated vehicle contest.
Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the traffic light at the intersection of South Donoho St. and Main St. and will proceed east on Main Street to the downtown square.
Prize money given for floats and best decorated vehicle is as follows:
$100.00 - First Place float
$ 75.00 - Second Place float
$ 50.00 - Third Place float
$ 50.00 - Best Decorated Vehicle

The Annual Red River County Christmas Lighting Contest is Friday, December 19, 2025 with judging between the hours of 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Nominees are to keep their lights on during this time. Any residence, business, church or organization within Red River County are eligible to enter. You may nominate yourself. The deadline for entries in Wednesday, December 17, 2025 by 5:00 p.m.Please email redrivercc@yahoo.com with the following information: Nominee's name, address and phone number. Please state if the entry is in the city limits of a community or out in the county. If we have permission from the one entering, we will publish the address, so others may view the decorations.
We will have cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for residential entries and also for business entries, which includes churches and organizations.
