This casual, open-house event invites families, parents, and the community to share ideas on how the museum’s campus can be more welcoming and engaging. It also celebrates the student work created during their Focus Group at area schools.
The museum will be open for free, including access to the new exhibition, “Lay of(f) the Land” which debuts that evening. Refreshments will be provided.

The spring Dutch oven class will be held at Nishna Bend Nature Center, 514 Maple Rd, Harlan, on Monday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. Preregistration is required and can done by calling Iowa Western Community College in Harlan at 712-755-3568. The cost of the class is $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages five to ten, and free for kids under the age of five. We will be making meatloaf, triple corn casserole, mac and cheese, biscuits, enchiladas, BBQ chicken pizza and two desserts.
Join the staff on Wednesday for this classic movie. They will serve popcorn and donuts.

Silent reading will begin at 5:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to grab one of Milk & Honey's specialty drinks or a snack to munch on while enjoying their book. Reading will last for 45 minutes and then the last 15 minutes will be used to discuss what everyone is reading.
