Día de los Muertos is a cultural tradition observed in many Hispanic communities, most prominently in Mexico, centered on remembrance, gratitude, and the celebration of life.

The Gala’s theme also recognizes the profound influence of Mexican culture across Hispanic communities throughout this hemisphere. As one of the most widely recognized and celebrated cultural traditions, it serves as a unifying expression of remembrance, identity, and shared heritage, while honoring the diversity of backgrounds that strengthen our community.

The theme is presented as a cultural inspiration centered on remembrance, gratitude, and legacy, and is not tied to a specific calendar observance or religious practice.
