Event Description
This parade is all about fun, creativity, and celebrating the people and spirit of our community. Everyone is welcome to join the party, and we encourage entries that are inclusive, family-friendly, and bring a little extra joy to Elk Avenue. To help keep the focus on community celebration, political floats are limited to local elections only.
Details
All floats must register and pay a float fee to participate in the July 4th parade. Float fees help the Chamber cover the cost to host this event, including permitting, insurance, marketing, security, trash service and staff to make sure the event is fun and safe. All floats must be registered and paid by Monday, June 29th. Anyone wanting to participate in the parade and registering after this date must contact events@cbchamber.com. Please help us create a safe, well-organized event by following this policy.

9:00 am - Float line-up begins at the corner of 7th and Elk and stretches back and around 9th
10:00 am - All participants must be lined up
11:00 am - Parade begins
12:00 pm - Parade ends

Registration prior to June 14, 2026:
General Floats (Current Chamber Members): $65*
General Floats (Non-Chamber Members): $75

Registration After June 14, 2026:
General Floats (Current Chamber Members): $75
General Floats (Non-Chamber Members): $85
Local Campaign Political Floats: $250
Any floats of a political nature must be approved in advance and be specific to local elections in the Gunnison Valley.
Payment options:
All float fees must be paid electronically via e-check, ACH or credit card.
Venmo: @cbmtcbchamber (please add a note with July 4th and your float name)
By submitting this form and participating in the parade, you are agreeing to the following:
To maintain a safe environment for spectators, I promise there will be nothing thrown from my float including candy. Instead there will be walkers that proceed next to the float handing out items to spectators. I also understand any violations of this rule may result in my being disqualified from participating in future parades.
In consideration for the foregoing, I for myself, heirs, executors, administrators, and all co-participants enter herewith, waive and release any and all rights and claims or responsibilities for damages against and all participation sponsors, supporters, volunteers, individuals as a result of my/our participation in the Crested Butte 4th of July Parade.
If your float is considered a higher risk (live animals, off-road cars, etc) you must reach out to us well in advance to discuss safety precautions that will allow you to safely participate in the parade.
