How do you turn green coffee beans into a great freshly roasted cup of coffee? It's all about the millard reaction during roasting...What is that you ask? Chemistry!

This will be a special treat for everyone as we will have Ox and Crow's owners, Mara Crombie and husband, Bruce Peacock give us a special behind the "beans" tour of their new coffeehouse.
Mara is the operator, mastermind and chef behind all of the fantastic homemade treats, soups and salads and Bruce is the master coffee bean roaster. During the day, he is a scientist at Medtronic and in his spare time, he is busy at work perfecting his hobby of producing the perfect roasted coffee bean. He is promising to make chemistry and technology fun! You will be amazed by the whole process and will have the opportunity to learn and taste the difference between your favorite coffee brews.
