During this session, participants will be provided with an understanding of the legal framework in Malta and the tools available to creditors when instituting a debt collection claim. The session will include an overview of the various precautionary warrants and other legal mechanisms available for a creditor to safeguard its claim before obtaining an executive title. The different types of executive titles which may be obtained by a creditor will also be explained, as well as the executive warrants which may be used to enforce those executive titles. A brief overview on cross-border debt collection will also be given.
