Join the Tecumseh community for the annual Frontier Days Parade on Saturday, September 27th!
This year’s theme is “Back to Our Roots,” and we’re calling on individuals, clubs, schools, and businesses to showcase what makes Tecumseh special — past and present. From honoring our agricultural heritage to spotlighting the people and places that helped build our town, we want to see your creative take on our deep-rooted pride.
Registration Deadline: Midnight on September 25th (Event day entries will be allowed, but will be added to the end of parade.)
Parade Start Time: 10:00 a.m.
Parade Route: From Locust Street through downtown Tecumseh along Broadway St.
Check-in Location: First Baptist Church, 301 S. Broadway St. Tecumseh, OK (Look for tent)
Check-in Time: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
🚨 Reminder:
DO NOT THROW ITEMS FROM VEHICLES. For the safety of our children, treats and candy must be handed out by walkers along the sidewalks. Throwing items from floats or vehicles is strictly prohibited.
Parade map and lineup order will be emailed the day before the parade
It will also be posted on the Frontier Days Facebook page and the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Facebook page

Judges will award up to 75 points based on the following categories. An additional 10 points may be awarded for creativity and theme expression. Judges are pre-selected by the Chamber and remain anonymous until parade day.
Overall Appearance (0–25 Points):
Is the float visually impressive?
Does it reflect the 2025 theme: “Back to Our Roots”?
Does it promote community spirit and pride in Tecumseh’s history?
Construction Quality (0–25 Points):
Is the float well built and secure?
Does it show craftsmanship and effort?
Will it hold up safely throughout the route?
Originality (0–15 Points):
Is the idea creative and meaningful?
Does it present the theme in a unique or unexpected way?
Extra Points (0–10 Points):
Bonus for features like: moving parts, crowd engagement, “wow” factor
Excellent representation of Tecumseh’s heritage and the theme
