Event Description

WHEN WOMEN SUPPORT WOMEN, GROWTH FOLLOWS...

Join us for an International Women’s Day gathering focused on connection, collaboration, and community, hosted by Community Futures and the Penticton Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Penticton Women in Business, WEBC, and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Strategy.

Centred on the theme Give to Gain, this evening brings together four local business leaders who will share their personal journeys—what they’ve given, what they’ve learned, and how generosity has shaped their businesses, leadership, and impact.


What to Expect
The evening begins with informal networking, followed by a buffet dinner and an inspirational panel presentation designed to spark conversation and meaningful connection.

Panel Speakers

Janine Cumberland is a multi-business owner, event strategist, and community builder who has navigated entrepreneurship in a fast-changing, unpredictable world. Known for her grit, adaptability, and people-first leadership, Janine transforms uncertainty into momentum and challenges into meaningful impact.

Dolly Kruger is a Syilx Okanagan Nation member, entrepreneur, and leader with over 25 years of experience in construction and carpentry. She owns a construction company and SilverSky Cradle & Casket, creating custom caskets, urns, and newborn cradle boards. Currently serving her second term as a Band Council member, Dolly is an award-winning business leader, including Woman in Business of the Year 2025 through Through All Nations Trust and a NACCA Role Model Campaign Award recipient.

Julie Turner, owner of oGoFloat, has spent the past decade redefining float therapy in Penticton. A tenacious entrepreneur, Julie advocates for wellness and community care, offering a bold counterpoint to hustle culture by encouraging people to pause, restore, and simply be.

Lyndie Seddon is the founder of Hoodoo Adventures and a champion of entrepreneurship as a grassroots driver of strong, connected communities. With experience across outdoor recreation, events, and business development, Lyndie creates values-led, experience-driven initiatives that honour place and bring people together.
