Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce will be holding our second annual Grinchmas Holiday Parade and Marching Band Contest on Thursday, November 30th.  Line up will begin at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 301 S. Broadway.   Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.
*We request pre-registration for line up but will accept entries upon arrival.

We will email the route of the parade closer to the date of the parade along with your parade number. You are NOT ALLOWED to throw candy from your vehicle or float. We encourage you to have volunteers walk to pass out candy to keep kids out of the roadway.

We ask that your float represent Grinchmas, but any and all Christmas themed floats, businesses, vehicles, organizations, horses, etc., are welcome to participate.  We request that your float not contain a real live "Grinch" as we will be providing one for the parade and photos afterwards.

After the Parade concludes, we will have a Whoville set up in City Hall with FREE Photos with the Grinch from 7pm to 9pm.  The Chamber will serve Hot Chocolate. We will have Food Trucks nearby City Hall for dinner options and Family Friendly activities to make the Grinch's heart grow from the love of our community.  We hope you'll park your float and join us!  Feel free to bring a new unwrapped toy, stuffed animal or blanket to be donated to local non-profits for children in need.

The City of Tecumseh will be sponsoring the Marching Band Contest which will have it's own set of rules and scoring; the remainder of the parade entries will be judged as follows:

Float Judging Criteria 

A panel of judges will determine the best float entries by using the following criteria. 
A maximum of 75 points may be earned from each of the judges.  
Judges will be pre-selected by the Chamber of Commerce and remain private until the parade time.

Overall Appearance (0-25 Points) 
• Does the float look good? 
• Does the float adhere to the Grinchmas Theme?
• Does the float promote spirit and support for the City of Tecumseh/Chamber of Commerce
• Does the float appropriately represent the Chamber of Commerce 
Construction Quality (0-25 Points) 
• How well is the float put together? 
• Difficultly of the construction? 
• Will the float last through the parade?
• Does it look safe? 
Originality (0-15 Points) • Is it something out of the ordinary? 
• Is the idea of the float projecting the theme of Grinchmas creatively? 
Extra Points (0-10 Points) 
• Awarded for: Moveable parts, gimmicks, encompassing traits of Tecumseh in addition to Grinchmas
