2026 Cherry Hunt
4/1/2026 - 4/30/2026

2026 Northwest Cherry Adventure 'Cherry Hunt'

Sponsored by: Explore The Dalles

The Northwest Cherry Festival is just around the corner, and we are calling on our business community to help us get The Dalles ready for the occasion. This year's theme is "Cherry Hunt"! Think Scavenger Hunt.

The Cherry Trail was created to help support and bring commerce into our existing businesses (eateries, breweries, wineries, retail, and attractions) during the Northwest Cherry Festival. We hope that you will offer some type of special at your location during the festival. It can be something to eat, drink, purchase, a sale, a special discount if they say they are doing the Cherry Trail, and so on! Get Creative!

NEW this year, we are also incorporating a weekend art scavenger hunt throughout April using the GooseChase app. Here is a video to help explain how Goosechase works, this is the app we are using for the Trail!!!!  https://blog.goosechase.com/tourism-demo-video/ (this can be used for so much, for example: Trails, Contests, Treasure Hunts, a downtown event like First Friday, and MORE)

Are you a local business hoping to get festival-goers into your business during Cherry Festival weekend? The Cherry Hunt is the perfect way to encourage guests to visit you. The Dalles Chamber is creating a Cherry Hunt app that asks participants to take a selfie with the special at your location, encouraging them to SHOP and engage at each stop.

The Hunt will list each location and include specials for participating businesses. Your special can be whatever you dream up! You might offer 10% off red items, a drink special, or a cherry-themed item. Participants will upload a selfie with your special to earn points (no need for staff to stamp passports during busy times). If guests complete 65% or more of the stops, they can submit their entries through the app to be entered to win a grand prize gift basket filled with local treasures.

If you would like to be included in the “Cherry Hunt” Cherry Trail, please fill out the form. We will update the digital app with your information.

We will also be creating a postcard with a QR code linking to the app and festival information. These will be distributed to businesses and will also connect to the Official Northwest Cherry Festival Guide. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring more visitors into your business during the 2025 Northwest Cherry Festival. If you have any questions, please reach out at 541-296-2231 or events@thedalleschamber.com.

We are advertising that the specials are running from Wednesday, April 1st, through Thursday, April 30th. IF YOU CAN’T do all the days, please let us know!!!!
