Almanor Bowl Pool Tournaments


For the next several months Almanor Bowl will hold a Pool Tournament on the second Saturday of the month.

The next tournament is Saturday, February 13 , starting at 10 A.M.

Registration fee $15, most of which will go to Cash Prizes.

Snowmobile Poker Run Just Around the Bend

The Lake Almanor Snowmobile Poker Run is back on February 13th!

Registration begins at 8 am, the Run begins at  9 am at the Chester Snowmobile Park, Hwy 36 & 89, across from the A-13 turn off.

The Mushers Are Coming!

Annual Dog Sled Races February 20 - 21st

Once again the skilled mushers of the Sierra Nevada Dog Drivers will come to the Lake Almanor Basin to participate in this beautiful race in the pines.

This year spectators will be able to see more than ever before! Join in the fun behind Cedar Chalet Bakery, Cedar Lodge Motel & RV on the Old Hwy, Corner of Hwy 89 & Hwy 36.  

Warm beverages and breakfast foods will on-site from the Main Street Coffee Bar with specialty pet supplies from Treats Dog Company .

Continuing structural changes in the wake of a great year of growth and re-organization have yielded a spirit of cooperation, volunteerism and community commitment at the Chamber.

At the January Business Meeting, while lining out the tasks for 2010, Directors and members raised their hands to volunteer with a renewed commitment to continue to serve our community as the leading organization in business education, marketing and development.

Community Collaborates on Calendar

At the January summit meeting of the Lake Almanor Cultural & Recreational Council, members collaborated on a comprehensive community calendar to aide the successful planning and marketing of events in the Lake Almanor Basin.

The first step in marketing your event is early planning and submission of information to media outlets.

Generosity Enhances Chamber Publications

John Reigh, long time West Shore resident and Chico business owner of Inland Business Systems has raised the standard of Chamber visitor, marketing and training publications and helped us save precious time and money.  

Through John, the Chamber has been gifted with a new Konica Minolta Biz Hub printer/copier machine.

Trade Shows Market Lake Almanor

Chamber Members teamed up to represent Lake Almanor at 2010 Sports & Recreation Shows in San Mateo, Sacramento and Reno.

"Interest in our area was high at the San Mateo and Sacramento shows", reports Rob Hart, Trade Show Chairman.

The team will go to Reno in March.
