| 3/13/2026 -3/22/2026 | March 13 - March 22 ![]() Block by Block is a TEMPORARY 10 DAY pilot project in response to public feedback during the Downtown Master Plan process. During the feedback process, the public expressed a desire for a different form of parking (parallel or similar), reduced number of spaces on Main Street, and/or no parking on parts of Main Street in Downtown Jenks. Before moving forward any plans or giving recommendations to Jenks City Council, the Planning Department wants the public, as well as businesses in Downtown, to have a chance to experience what reduced and/or zero parking spaces may look and feel like on Main Street. PLEASE fill out the 2 minute survey that goes live on March 13th: https://www.jenks.com/.../Reimagine-Main-Street-Block-by... - this page also has a link to the Parking Map which shows area parking, including all Handicap parking and gives general information about the project. The City's measure of success with this project is receiving feedback about the experience - the good, the bad, and the ugly! *Downtown businesses will have their own In-person feedback forum (date TBD In April). All parking spaces located between 1st and 2nd Street (only on Main Street) will be blocked after 2am on Friday morning, March 13th. PLEASE remove your car by 2am on Friday if in one of these parking spaces to allow Public Works to move their heavy machinery in and out of this area. Parking spaces will remain blocked for 10 days (March 13-March 22nd) as part of "Reimagine Main Street: Block by Block". Main Street, between the railroad tracks (just west of 1st Street) to 2nd Street, will be closed to all vehicle traffic beginning at 5am on Friday, March 13th. The road will be open by 9am same day. Main Street will remain open to all vehicle traffic during this project. The parking spaces will reopen the morning of March 23rd (before 7am). Jenks Police Department would like to remind everyone that Main Street has a speed limit of 25 mph in this area - there is a lot of pedestrian activity in Downtown Jenks and adhering to the speed limit and stopping at crosswalks for pedestrians is the law. Thank you for making our Downtown a safe place to walk, shop, and dine! Businesses in this area plan to activate their extra outdoor space during these 10 days with outdoor dining, sidewalk sales, etc. There are many things happening around Jenks during this Spring Break - please visit Discover Jenks to view the Community Calendar and see all activities in Jenks during Spring Break To see all parking options and read all about the 10 day pilot project, please visit the Block by Block page on our website: https://www.jenks.com/.../Reimagine-Main-Street-Block-by...
