We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us bring downtown Kingman to life.

The 2026 First Friday season is April through November. Whether you love setting up, capturing great moments, or keeping things running smoothly, there’s a role for you!

Volunteering is a fun, rewarding way to support local businesses, connect with the community, and be part of an event that brings thousands of people together.

Attention Volunteers Under 18! A parent or guardian must complete the volunteer registration form on your behalf.

Volunteer Positions Available:
βœ… Set-up Crew – Event Setup Assistance: Support vendors in unloading equipment, setting up booths, tents, tables, and displays before the event commences. Work with Roadies to ensure that all setups comply with event guidelines and safety standards.
βœ… Tear-down Crew – Support vendors in breakdown of equipment, booths, tents, tables, and displays at the conclusion of the event. Assist with picking up games, vendor space markers, sponsor signs, and assist with general event cleanup.
βœ… Photographers & Videographers – Capture the energy and excitement of First Friday! Share live content on social media and help create professional-quality media for advertising, training, and sponsor promotions.
βœ… Barricade Crew – The Barricade Crew plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees at First Friday by managing street closures and maintaining pedestrian safety.
βœ… Roadies – Roadie Volunteers to assist vendors and attendees. Roadies serve as a vital link between organizers and participants

Even better, this year’s event takes place the day before Easter, making it the perfect way to kick off a weekend of giving, connection, and community spirit.
 
For ten years, River Cities United Way—along with the City of Kingman, The Standard, the Kingman Downtown Merchants, and the Kingman Chamber of Commerce—has hosted community improvement projects that bring together more than 100 volunteers and as many as 300 participants on a single day. Together, we’ve shown what it means to care for and invest in the place we call home.
 
Teams and individuals return year after year, and we’d love for you to join us for this milestone celebration. With 14 cleaning zones ranging from small to large, every volunteer can find the perfect spot to make a visible difference.

Kingman FIRST Robotics Team 60 will be participating in a FIRST Robotics Regional at UNLV Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV.  This is a FREE event and would love to have our local community support.  You can travel to be part of the competition and watch it live or if you want to stream it it will be available on YouTube via FIRSTRoboticsCompetition. Friday competition begins at 9:00 AM and goes until 5:00 PM with qualifiers throughout the day. Saturday begins at 9AM and runs until around 11:30 AM with qualifiers and then SemiFinals are from 12PM to 4PM finishing with awards at the end of each day.http://www.firstnevada.org

Ride Smart, Ride Safe: Mohave College Bike Rodeo

Join us for Mohave College’s first-ever Bike Rodeo, a free, family-friendly event focused on bicycle and e-bike safety for riders of all ages. This hands-on event brings together students, families, and community members to build confidence, learn safe riding skills, and promote responsible biking across Mohave County.

Bring your bike and helmet and enjoy interactive safety stations, including helmet and bike fit inspections, bicycle handling and control skills, e-bike safety best practices, and road awareness and rider safety resources. We will also have a Mobile Health Unit on site.

Biking is a great way to commute, stay active, and enjoy our community, but safety is key. The Bike Rodeo helps ensure riders of all ages have the knowledge and confidence to ride safely.

Download and share the official event flyer and use the QR code on the flyer to donate. Your support helps provide helmets, safety supplies, and educational materials for participants.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate by donating bicycles or helmets, volunteering at activity stations, or helping promote the event.
