What's more than 12 feet tall and absolutely delicious? It has to be the ginormous Gingerbread House towering over the Food Court at KP International Market this holiday season.
Constructed from 13,285 gingerbread cookie bricks and decorated with frosting, lights and more, the spectacular display is yours for the enjoyment at KP International Market in Rancho Cordova.
Built brick by brick -- make that cookie by cookie -- by Newton Shin, and protected by Nutcracker Guards, the display can be taken in free of charge during normal store hours. Shin is a bakery manager and two-time winner of Socal bakery competitions. He was recruited by KP Owner and Operator BJ Yu to build the scrumptious masterpiece for Rancho Cordova.
Beginning Dec. 15 until Christmas, Santa Claus will be on hand to pose for free photos with children of all ages from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. with the gingerbread house serving as the backdrop.
A Cordova Community Council Magic-Maker sponsor supporting Rancho Cordova's many community events, KP Market is also known for its lovely outdoor decorations at Christmas and extravagant Easter Bunny decorations, as well.
