You are invited to a Distinguished Speaker Series dinner event on May 20, 2026, in the atrium of the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth, Kansas (100 Stimson Ave.). A reception begins at 5:30 p.m., the buffet dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $35/person in advance or $40/person at the door.

In recognition of the 250th anniversary of our United States, this edition of the Distinguished Speaker Series features a presentation on civic duty by Jason J. Galui, director of the Endicott Center for Civic Participation. On Sept. 17, 1787, delegates in Philadelphia signed an ambitious document creating the framework for realizing the self-evident truths stated in the Declaration of Independence. For more than 238 years, the Constitution of the United States has been vigorously supported, challenged, and defended by generations of Americans. If “We the People” are committed to securing the “blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,” then each of us has essential duties and obligations to perform – as individuals and as a collective – in order to form a more perfect union.

NOTE: Guests without military ID or CAC card must also pre-register to access Fort Leavenworth using the Visitor Registration Portal no more than 10 days and no less than 24 hours before the event - https://pass.aie.army.mil/steps/branch_selection.

Major international sporting events, like the upcoming World Cup in Kansas City, bring thousands of visitors which increases a business’s revenue as well as risk. From crowd surges and alcohol fueled incidents like theft and assaults, a business can suffer monetary loss, heavy liabilities, reputational damage, and potential closure. Unlike stadiums, most businesses lack dedicated safety and security teams or resources and are open all day.

THIS FREE 2-HOUR EVENT WILL:
  • Identify real-world threats from global sporting events
  • Recognize vulnerabilities in your business operations
  • Implement practical prevention strategies
  • Manage and de-escalate incidents in real time
  • Conduct rapid on-site risk assessments tailored to your specific location and crowd profile
  • Reduce liability and protect your staff and customers
  • Recover quickly and protect your brand after an incident

Hear from industry expert Bret E. Brooks, COO of the Missouri-based international training and consulting firm Gray Ram Tactical, LLC at this upcoming special event. Since 2007, his firm has assisted businesses of all sizes in all industries keep their staff, customers, and facilities safe and secure. This is a must attend event for businesses.

Military & Veteran women- We’re coming together for a time of connection, personal & professional growth, and meaningful community service.

Women Veterans Engage at VFW Post 56

If you’re a woman veteran or currently serving, this event was created with you in mind.

Women Veterans Engage is a one-day personal and professional development conference designed to bring women who have served together for meaningful connection, practical growth, and renewed purpose. Throughout the day, you’ll hear from speakers, engage in conversations that matter, and explore ways to strengthen both your personal life and your professional path.

This isn’t just about networking, it’s about community. It’s about being seen, heard, and supported by women who understand your journey. Together, we’ll also look at how we can continue serving; not just in uniform, but in our families, workplaces, and communities.

Join us at VFW Post 56 as we build something intentional, empowering, and lasting!
