Alice Police officer Jason Childers was named the 2012 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year during a presentation at the Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner sponsored by the Coyote Cooks, Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee and the Alice Chamber of Commerce.

He brings great leadership to the board as a businessman and has high value in our community. Ike currently serves as Vice President – Economic Development and represents the board on the Alice Jim Wells County EDC. He will assume the president office on January 1, 2013.

I’ve heard if you kayak, waxing your paddle increases the grip. Would you like for your wax to smell like coconuts or chewing gum? Would you like for it to be made from organic ingredients? Select your board wax dependant on the temperature of the water and climate. For example, the warmer the weather the harder your wax needs to be.

In Motion held a grand opening ceremony and open house on Monday April 30, 2012. The new fitness facility is located at 208 E. Main St.
